the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra LAUNCHES redesigned WEBSITE
Evansville, Indiana - The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra announces the launch of its redesigned website featuring its 74th season entitled "A Season of Love 2008-2009". The Philharmonic, a non-profit organization and the largest arts institution in southwestern Indiana, continues to take steps to keep up with the times with the redesign of the orchestra's website: www.evansvillephilharmonic.org. Right now, visitors can sign up for the Philharmonic's e-newsletter called "Phil Me In", listen to audio clips of pieces to be played in the upcoming season, check out the new benefits for subscribers, look up information about season tickets and group tickets (groups of ten or more can book concerts now to get the best seats available at the best price before they go on sale to the general public), and explore a photo gallery (under "About Us") of past performances.
The new website, emblazoned with the Philharmonic's new season graphics, showcases the orchestra's upcoming Classics and Pops concerts and Special Events. The season features GRAMMY® award-winning guest artists, Broadway stars, and the launch of the Beethoven Symphony Series, a two year celebration consisting of all 9 of Beethoven's symphonies, which will culminate in the Philharmonic's 75th Anniversary season.
The website also features background information on some of the newest members of the Philharmonic (also under "About Us"), including the newly appointed conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, Dr. Dennis Malfatti.
In August, for the first time in its history, the Philharmonic plans to launch a blog from Maestro Alfred Savia, as well as a facebook page. The maestro's blog will share a rare, behind-the-scenes look at what he's doing to prepare for each concert, why he chose to perform certain pieces/programs, and other insider information.
